The Power of Intention: Reflections
After reading The Power of Intention,
How to Co-create Your World Your Way by Dr. Wayne Dyer several years ago,
my life became even more fulfilling and miraculous just as it had become after
I read You Can Heal Your Life by Louise L Hay 25 years ago. If you have
not yet read it, I highly suggest that you do for no one describes better than
Dr. Dyer this incredible force called Intention.
I begin to use the words, “I intend to …”
as I set goals and faced life’s challenges. What I quickly noticed was how my
mind and body responded to the words “I intend”. I was focused and calm as I
continued working from intent, and very aware of my actions.
By using the words “I intend to” …., I
created a compass to assist me in making decisions. I would not choose an
action, an activity, a person, a job that was off course from my intention.
If I intended to be at peace each day
regardless of what occurred, that automatically ruled out getting irritated at
the disrespectful driver I encounter in traffic.
It was so much easier for me to honor my
intentions than to accomplish a simple goal. I am not sure why. All I can tell
you is it feels more powerful, more forceful.
There is a very powerful force behind
Intention. If we will but allow it to surface, you will experience as have I
the serenity, joy, loving and grateful spirit that is the result of getting our
egos out of the way and honoring Who We Really Are.

Namaste, Molly
