LETTING GO

This past Sunday I had the pleasure of speaking at a new spiritual gathering called THRIVE. The message was "Letting Go". I have spoken in many venues and on many stages, but this stage was definitely unique. THRIVE meets in a small community theatre in Plano and there on the stage was a white casket that was part of the set for the upcoming play they are rehearsing. What a great background for the topic of Letting Go!
In my work with clients, one of the most common questions is "how do you let go"?
I believe that what they are really asking me is how do you deal with the feelings that come with letting go-the fear, the guilt, the sadness.
Endings are often sad, and feelings of fear are natural as we move toward something new and unknown. I have a sign in my office that reads "letting go is the action part of faith that allows our Higher Power to send us what we are intended to have." Just remember that with every ending comes a new beginning and with every goodbye there will be a hello to the new friend, the new job, the new relationship, the new home, Most importantly letting go sets us free to embrace all that is good and joyful and enriching.

Today's Affirmation: Freedom and change are in the air. I discard old ideas.
Today's Wisdom: You are not stuck where you are unless you decide to be.

Stay Well and Stay Joyful
