After presenting a "wisdom of wellness workshop" a couple of years ago, a participant came up to me and shared something he had heard which I immediately wrote down and applied to my presentations.
"The body is the battlefield for the warfare in our minds."
Why human beings are so resistant to the truth of the body-mind connection I still cannot understand. So much of our stress, our anxiety, our depression, our inability to enjoy life to its fullest is directly related to the thoughts we choose to think on a regular basis. Our body responds positively to thoughts that strengthen it such as those of joy, peace, love, acceptance and willingness. The body also responds to thoughts that weaken it such as guilt, apathy, fear, and resentment.
You literally have the ability to create or to stop anxiety, depression, and low self esteem or doubt. It is my intent through my "Wellness Wisdom" events to teach skills that help you stay positive, healthy, and happy, to improve the quality of your career or relationships, or to cope with life transitions in a constructive way. Towards that end I offer an inexpensive unique life coaching event. So, please join me Sunday, September 7, from 12:30-2:00, at St. Martins Wine Bistro for a brunch and wisdom event that brings folks together in a great environment to connect, celebrate life and learn a little bit about the power of changing your thoughts in order to be less anxious, more joyful, and definitely more healthy in body and in spirit. What a great way to move into the fall. See below details. Hope to see you there, and remember to start each day with a positive affirmation such as: "I cross all bridges with joy and ease."
