I have a routine that begins my days on a positive note. I have two flip calendars that I look at when I get up in the morning. Louise Hay's daily calendar starts me off with today's positive affirmation and the other goes more to my spiritual focus for the day. It is based on Dr. Wayne Dyer's book, The Power of Intention. I wanted to share this one with you for I believe we all need to be reminded of the importance of self respect as a person honoring our intentions. It reads:
"Leave your reputation for others to debate; it has nothing to do with you. Or as a book title says: What You Think of Me is None My Business!"
When I first heard those words, I remember how it truly changed the way I handled worrying about what other people thought about me or my work. The truth is not everyone is going to like everything we do, what we stand for, or even who we are. What matters is how we feel about ourselves. We cannot control the decisions or thoughts of others, but we can be the person we intend to be regardless of their opinions. I began to understand that it is my job to honor my journey, not to interfere with or to even understand anyone else's journey. When I get back to what matters to me and to those I love and value, I am at Peace and I am definitely "on purpose".
Stay well.
